Marketing Content Creator
South-Africa, Remote
The Marketing Content Creator is focused on writing and sharing good stories about our citizen identity solutions and the positive impact they have on governments, individuals, and societies as a whole.
This role operates within the marketing side of the organization and is integral to the building of an in-house team. You will be a critical member of the global marketing team and play a crucial role in communicating essential information to tell our story. You must have proven skills in high-quality content creation, be comfortable working closely with cross-functional teams and have a great eye for detail. This role is ideal for a self-motivated, energetic individual who understands how to learn from insights and analytics and enjoys working as part of a growing team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The role is focused on the following:
- Creation of high-quality content focused on informing prospecting customers about the benefits and capabilities of our solutions.
- Deliberate strategy, planning, and goal setting for delivering relevant content to the right audience.
- Enhance the brand identity, awareness, and online reputation.
- Manage our blogs and LinkedIn channel with compelling campaigns.
- Support the sales and marketing team with content for presentations, brochures, and other sales collateral.
- Administer the company’s social media marketing and advertising.
COMPETENCIES
The competencies appropriate for the Job Role should include:
- Native English, a second language is an asset.
- Excellent content writing skills.
- Understanding of customer journey and translating that to relevant content.
- Tech savvy. Our solutions consist of hardware, software, and (IT) services.
- Content promotion skills, particularly in-depth knowledge about LinkedIn campaigns.
- Good understanding of SEO.
- Experience with working in WordPress.
EXPERIENCE
The role requires:
- 5+ year experience with creating high-quality marketing content, from sourcing to publishing.
- Proficient in content marketing theory and application.
- A solid technical understanding of the types of solutions offered by Laxton.
- Industry experience (Elections/Biometrics/Civil Registry/Security) an asset.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Marketing, Mass Communications, Advertising, Public Relations, Business, or related field.
